MLC Opens Doors With New Financial Planning Programme

MLC is stepping up its advisory practice with the launch of a new programme that helps professionals make a career shift into the financial planning industry. MLC Pathway to Advice Excellence is a four-day course designed for financial services professionals gaining their RG146 qualifications and who would like to move into financial planning. The course provides participants with the chance to apply their technical knowledge and grow their confidence in building client relationships and developing financial strategies. Several established advisors will be speaking during the programme, according to the firm. "As public perception of financial planning improves, more people are considering joining. We are increasingly receiving enquiries from the likes of lawyers, bankers, and asset managers who are seeking a career change and want to become trusted financial advisors. This programme is designed with these people in mind," siad Peter Greenway, general manager of business development for MLC. MLC already offers technical financial planning qualifications via the MLC Advice Education programme. The new course bolsters this by providing strategies on the practical first steps to get into the industry. The course will be run in Sydney and Melbourne.
